Cornerstone Away-Day – May 17th 2008
An “Awayday” gave an opportunity for a large contingent from Cornerstone to venture into the countryside above Welshpool and experience a day of fellowship, food and fine teaching by guest speakers Duncan & Lesley MacLean (right) .
“Pleasant View” – the prayer house where the event was held – lived up to its name, despite the low cloud and drizzle that affected part of the day. But there was nothing gloomy about the fellowship or teaching. Basing their theme on Jeremiah: “...return to me”, Duncan & Lesley gave us much to ponder on and celebrate.
The food was fantastic, (was it 12 puddings one of the children admitted to eating?!), and despite our best endeavours to share the washing-up, George was insistent that it was his job – he did the lot!
