The Running Man...
Pastor Ken successfully completed the 26+ mile “Brathay Windermere Marathon” challenge this year, the course encircling the wonderful setting of Lake Windermere in the Lake District.
Despite problems with recurring hamstring injuries in preparation for the event, he completed the course unscathed, with a lot of prayerful support from family and friends at Cornerstone.  In fact, he clocked up a very respectable time (4 hrs 39 mins.), coming 4th (out of 10) in his age category, and 660th in a total field of 1200!

Congratulations to Ken...
...but now he wants our money!
He was running in support of “Seedlings For Christ”, specifically to raise funds for his daughter, Jo, who works for this charity organisation in The Gambia, W. Africa.  She has established a school for local village children and is now moving out to live and work in that community long-term.
As Ken himself puts it...
Many thanks for all those of you who supported in prayer and other forms of encouragement.  I'm anticipating raising over £400 towards Jo's call to Gambia. She flies out today and her room has been built, shower and bed installed, and she will even have a ceiling, rather than just a corrugated tin roof!  All done in anticipation of the sponsor money from Cornerstone and friends.  A huge thanks to you all.
