This year’s annual Pancake Party was held on the evening of Shrove Tuesday (24th Feb).
A team of cooks - Monica, Lorna and Brenda - turned out pancakes galore! In fact, over 6 lbs of flour was used, and nobody was counting the eggs!
Once the feasting was over, it was time for the games and pancake races. Children, the cooks and even the men held separate races: twice round the church outside and inside and a compulsory three tosses required en route. It was one way of working off all those calories!
