Ladies Weekend at Capernwray: 27-31 March, 2009
About 80 ladies from all over the UK came together to spend time with God and with each other.

We had some great teaching times led by Heather Thomas – assistant pastor at Imago Dei Community Church in Oregon, USA – some times listening to what God had to say to us personally, some times listening to each other and some times praying with each other. Sometimes being serious and lots of times being anything but serious!!

The theme was “telling our story of God's works in our life from one generation to the next” based on Psalm 145.
There was a range of activities on offer throughout the weekend – swimming, walking, target-practice, curling, bouncy castle, trips out, card-making and of course plentiful supplies of cups of tea and coffee!!
One evening was spent making bible verses memorable using skits and drama – a truly hilarious evening.
We saw pictures of the outreach to Africa – “Out of Africa” - undertaken by some of the staff and students of Capernwray Hall Bible School earlier in the year and heard the story of “Rachel's Garden” - the vision God gave to the lady in charge of the gardens and grounds at Capernwray and of His working in her life – amazing God!
We laughed together, cried together, prayed together, discovered talents we never knew we had together and experienced God's touch on our lives together.
A truly memorable weekend and one you may well hear more of in the coming weeks!
